JB Contracting ATX ("we," "us," "our") is a family-owned contracting business based in Austin, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect through www.jbcontractingatx.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it plain, because a privacy policy nobody can read is not a privacy policy.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to quote and complete your project.

• Information you give us. When you fill out a quote form, use the Project Designer, or text or call us, we receive the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address if you provide one, project ZIP code, the type of project, and any notes or photos you choose to send.
• Photos you upload. The Project Designer lets you attach photos of your space. Those images are sent to us with your request and are used to prepare your estimate.
• Automatically collected information. Like most websites, ours records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the site or search that referred you. This comes from analytics tools described below.

We do not ask for or collect payment card numbers, bank details, or Social Security numbers through this website.

How we use it

• To respond to your request, prepare an estimate, and schedule a walk-through.
• To communicate with you about your project by phone, text, or email.
• To follow up about a quote you requested, and to send occasional seasonal maintenance reminders or offers if you are an existing customer. You can opt out of these at any time.
• To understand which pages and search terms bring homeowners to the site, so we can improve it.
• To meet legal, tax, permitting, warranty, and insurance obligations.

What we will never do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We do not share your contact details with other contractors or lead-selling services.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that make the site and our business run, and only as far as they need it:

• Form delivery. Quote form and Project Designer submissions are delivered to us through Web3Forms, which passes the message to our email inbox.
• Analytics. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate.
• Advertising platforms. If we are running ads, Google and Meta may receive information about visits and form submissions so we can measure which ads actually produce work.
• Suppliers and crew. On an active project, the people doing the work receive the job address and details they need to do it.
• When the law requires it. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights.

Cookies and tracking

The site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and, when ads are running, for advertising measurement and remarketing. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may be less convenient. You can opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google's browser opt-out add-on, and you can adjust Google ad personalization in your Google Ad Center.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number, you agree that we may contact you by text about your project or estimate. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. We do not use your number for automated marketing campaigns.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and project records for as long as needed to serve you and to satisfy warranty, tax, and insurance requirements, typically several years after a completed project. Requests that never became projects are kept only as long as they are useful for follow-up.

Your choices

• Access, correction, or deletion. Ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Some records must be kept where law, warranty, or insurance requires.
• Marketing opt-out. Reply STOP to a text, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or just tell John.
• Texas residents. Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act you may have the right to confirm whether we process your personal data, obtain a copy of it, correct it, delete it, and opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal data. We do not sell personal data. To exercise a right, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframe the law allows and will not treat you differently for asking.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information you send us, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this site and access-limited email. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging home improvement work. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
